Product Overview

Sodium hydroxide, also called caustic soda, is a typical inorganic alkaline compound. It exists as white flakes or pellets with strong moisture absorption capacity. The material delivers powerful alkaline reactivity and dissolves quickly in water, widely adopted across water treatment, chemical synthesis and detergent manufacturing.

Physical & Chemical Properties

It dissolves rapidly in water releasing heat, soluble in glycerol and alcohol. Absorbs carbon dioxide and moisture from air easily, forming sodium carbonate gradually. It reacts thoroughly with acids, fats and organic esters, showing strong corrosiveness toward metal and organic substances. Sealed dry storage can slow deterioration.
