1,2,3-Benzotriazole (BTA), CAS 95-14-7, is a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic compound. It can build a compact protective layer on copper and copper alloy surfaces to slow corrosion. It also features UV absorption capacity to retard polymer aging. This substance is widely adopted in water treatment, lubricant and polymer stabilization sectors.

Product Properties

It exists as white needle crystalline solid. Slightly soluble in cold water, freely soluble in alcohols and other polar organic solvents. Stable under normal ambient temperature. Avoid strong oxidants and high temperature decomposition conditions during handling.
